From Learner to Mentor: Our Open-Source Journey
Two years ago, a group of our students had never opened a code editor. Today they review each other's work and contribute to open-source projects used by people around the world.
The First Pull Request
Fixing a single typo in a project's documentation was the first contribution for many of them. It sounds small, but seeing your name in a real project is a huge confidence boost.
Giving Back
As they grew, our learners started answering questions for newcomers and mentoring younger students, turning what they received into what they now give.
Building a Portfolio
Open-source work is public, which means these students now have real, visible proof of their skills to show schools and future employers.
